Greg DeFoor - Education and Professional Background
    
Greg DeFoor is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Auburn University. He served in public accounting in Birmingham, Alabama, where he became a Certified Public Accountant.  Greg was responsible for managing client engagements in a variety of industries and provided accounting, auditing and tax services.
    
Greg left public accounting for a number of years and served as a Controller/CFO in private industry in the healthcare and retail automotive industries in Alabama, Texas and Georgia. Greg has experience in strategic planning issues and has been involved in managing the day to day operations of a business. Greg also has experience in analyzing business acquisitions from the aspect of a corporate acquirer. This industry experience serves him well as he advises clients on the transfer of business ownership. He is not just a business advisor looking in from the outside; he has been involved in running a closely held business.

Greg has written articles on business transfers and increasing value for CPA and business related newsletters and has made presentations on recasting financial statements, preparing pro forma financial projections and exit strategy.

Greg maintains an active license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and is a licensed Georgia Real Estate Broker.
